Mohair gives superb depth and realism to the hair so you should use this instead of a wig, where possible.. Microrooting the hair by hand can take quite a while but it is well worth the effort once you are complete. You can get Angora mohair in a variety of colors but make sure you have enough to complete the head you will be working on - buy extra if in doubt

Doll Paints

This is what brings the doll together and makes it look so real. Try to get some good quality paints, such as the Genesis Heat Set paints, you can buy a huge selection of ready mixed skin tones so you dont need to worry about remixing and getting it wrong. As the name suggests, once painted you then bake the limbs you have painted in order to get the paint to set. This will usually involve building up the limbs with multiple layers of paint so again it can be quite time consuming, but well worth the wait..
